Development aid projects

ISSI, in partnership with various international organisations, carries out development projects to improve the health and living conditions of the population.

In recent years, these projects have been mainly in the field of hygiene and nursing education.



Completed projects

2020-2021: Improved training of teachers and students in hand hygiene, toilet sanitation and waste separation in 15 schools in Mont Ngafula, with the support of the Fundacion Irabia and the Gobierno de Navarra.

2020-2021: Strengthen the training of health workers and nurses in the province of Kinshasa in community health, hygiene and health emergencies such as COVID-19 and Ebola with the support of the Fundación Rode and the Gobierno de Navarra.

2020-2021: Strengthen the training of 100 nurses in the province of Kinshasa, in the fight against Covid-19 (hygiene and emergencies) with the support of the City Council of Tudela de Navarra and the Fundacion Irabia

 

2020-2021: Updating of the ISSI web page, creation of the intranet, audit and improvement of the computer network, installation of high-speed internet and supply of computers for digitisation at ISSI in front of COVID-19, with the support ofHarambee International.


2021: Creation of a platform for online training of nurses in the DRC in hospital hygiene and other areas, with the support of Wonder Foundation and l'ONIC (Ordre National des infirmières du Congo).


Ongoing projects

2021-2022: Creation of a platform for online training of DRC nurses in hospital hygiene and other areas, with the support of Wonder Foundation, Turing Foundation and ONIC (Ordre National des infirmières du Congo).


2021-2023: Bridge training project in midwifery at ISSI in Kinshasa to contribute to the reduction of maternal and infant mortality in the DRC with the support of the Fondation Lincco (Canada) and l’IECD (France).


2021-2022:Improvement of the training of teachers and students in hand hygiene, toilet sanitation and waste separation in 20 schools of Mount Ngafula (Phase III), with the support of Fundacion Irabia and the Gobierno de Navarra


2021-2022:Capacity building of health workers (Phase II): nurses, nursing assistants, in primary health care with the support of the Fundación Rode and of the Gobierno de Navarra


2021-2022:Improving the health of the population of Congo-Brazzaville and Congo-Kinshasa with the support of the Fondation Harambee International.
