TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION OF ISSI STUDENTS IN THE PROJECT FOR THE TRAINING OF NURSES IN MONT NGAFULA ZONES 1 AND 2 IN EMERGING PATHOLOGIES.
Within the framework of the project: "Strengthening the capacities of nurses in the Mont-Ngafula 1 and 2 Health Zones in the face of emerging diseases", implemented by the Higher Institute of Nursing (ISSI/Monkole), 26 students of the third grade of the ISSI were trained for five days.
In fact, this training included five modules covered in five days, namely: hospital hygiene; stress management in a health crisis; emergency nursing management in a crisis situation; principles of resuscitation care; community awareness.
During this training, the students were impressed by one of the trainers, Dr. MAYULU Ghislain, chief physician of the Mont-Ngafula 1 health zone, who spoke about the vaccination plan against COVID-19 in the DRC.

The learning process continued with a film forum on the humanization of healthcare. They then carried out community awareness-raising in two schools and two municipal markets in the commune of Mont-Ngafula. During this activity, the students were able to distribute to the population masks and information sheets on the fight against emerging diseases (COVID-19, malaria, Ebola).
At the end of the training, the students passed an evaluation and our future five-star nurses received certificates of achievement demonstrating their training in emerging pathologies.
We thank the City Council of Tudela and ISSI for this opportunity for our nurses.
